Pantry Project

So for Memorial Day we wanted to go camping...however Mother Nature did not agree with us. So instead we completed much needed projects around the house. My very favorite is the nook in the kitchen that use to be a pantry/office/crap room.

We took everything out and put in metal shelves (will be replaced with built in shelves if we decide to buy the place) and put curtains up so that you don't have too look at the pantry. I had been given a bunch of material a while back and used some of it to make the curtains. I am quite pleased with the way that they turned out.

It looks great. There is nothing better than a big, organized pantry.

Nice work, Nan. It looks so roomy without the desk in there! Where'd the desk go, by the way? And I really like the curtains-- plus free fabric? Sweet! -Wen

The desk had to retire and spend the rest of it's days living and decomposing at the dump. Same with the other pantry/cupboard thing!

Don't you just love walking past a project you finished and just sighing with satisfaction? Good job!

Oh, and you made those curtains? Go you!!

Way to go Nancy! That is a smart use of that space. The curtain looks nice too. There is something about setting up and organizing food storage that just feels good. Proud of ya!
