Minutes Ago

So Preston has been super fussy today. Doesn't seem happy and has been pulling on me and needing alot of attention. I knew he was tired and needed to go to nap early. So I was chatting with my mom on the phone and was laying on my bed...Preston wanted up. So he is up on the bed whining and pulling on my for attention. Next thing I know he lays his head down on my stomach. I start to rub his back and massage his neck. I look down cause he was a little too quiet and he was ASLEEP. How crazy is that? Anyone that knows him, knows he has NEVER fallen asleep on me since he was tiny (except right after surgery when he was still so dopey). I couldn't believe it. I wanted to lay there forever and soak it up. But I also know that he would sleep much better if I let him lay on my bed by himself. So I moved him over and let him sleep. That just really made my day!!!
UPDATE:
So Preston woke up an hour into his normal 3 hour nap. So I went in there and snuggled him (usually that does nothing) and rubbed his back and legs and he was out like a light....again. I couldn't believe it. So obviously he just needed his mommy. I got to snuggle him and take a nap for 2 hours! It was so awesome. I didn't get a single thing done around the house....but I got to take advantage of an opportunity that NEVER presents itself. What a great day!!!

What a sweet story. I'm glad you were able to enjoy your time with him. He sounds like a little doll.

Nancy, Thank you for sharing that tender "mommy moment". You are so loving to Preston. I'm happy he is loved so much.

Awwww! Cute boy! I love moments like that. I let this poem remind me to make time for my kids:

Cleaning and scrubbing can wait 'til tommorrow,
For babies grow up, we've learned to our sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs, and dust, go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep.

Or atleast that's the poem I use as an excuse not to clean. ;-)
